About Me

Ever since I can remember, I've been passionate about diversity issues and how I can help all people from diverse backgrounds. Being a minority within private schools my entire life has made be able to be comfortable, confident, and content with who I am. As the child of West Indian parents, I've witnessed firsthand what it is like to work hard to be seen as equals amongst Americans and how that process can be challenging. Global Studies gives me the opportunity to work on my passions and gain a second diploma. I'm also a three-sport athlete who enjoys aspects of the arts such as music and filmmaking. My journey is one filled with many paths, one that is continuously being written, and constantly changing. This is Jayda Clarke.
